Term 2 - Concert Attendance - Due Friday December 21st.
Purpose of the assignment: This task allows you to experience a LIVE music performance, which helps you appreciate the quality of a well-done show. You will improve your critiquing skills as you listen for specific strengths and weaknesses from the performers. Learning to critique a group from the audience’s perspective will then help you recognize strengths and weaknesses in your own choir during daily rehearsals.

Requirements for the Concert:
- You must attend a LIVE concert. This means you must be sitting in the same room as the performers. You may NOT watch a recording.
- Concert must be at least 30 minutes of music
- The concert must be attended during 2nd Term
- Types of concerts that ARE acceptable:
- choir concert (Jr. High, High School, College, or Professional)
- musical theater show
- vocal recital
- Types of concerts that ARE NOT acceptable:
- plays (all talking, no singing)
- dance recitals
- rock concerts
- piano recitals
- any video (YouTube or other recordings)
- any show with less than 30 minutes of music

- Print the worksheet out before the concert, and bring it with you so you can write your reactions as you hear them.
- Answers must be written using complete sentences. Be detailed and descriptive with your writing. You will not get full credit for lazy, one word answers.
- Concert program/ticket must be attached to the worksheet as proof that you attended.
- If the concert did not provide a program or ticket, your parent must write a note explaining that you did attend, and the note must be attached to your worksheet.
- Paragraph must be written using complete and detailed sentences, with c0orrect grammar and punctuation.
