Term 2 - Concert Attendance - Due Friday December 21st.

Purpose of the assignment:  This task allows you to experience a LIVE music performance, which helps you appreciate the quality of a well-done show.  You will improve your critiquing skills as you listen for specific strengths and weaknesses from the performers.  Learning to critique a group from the audience’s perspective will then help you recognize strengths and weaknesses in your own choir during daily rehearsals.

Requirements for the Concert:
  • You must attend a LIVE concert.  This means you must be sitting in the same room as the performers.  You may NOT watch a recording.
  • Concert must be at least 30 minutes of music
  • The concert must be attended during 2nd Term
  • Types of concerts that ARE acceptable:
    • choir concert (Jr. High, High School, College, or Professional)
    • musical theater show
    • vocal recital

    • plays (all talking, no singing)
    • dance recitals
